How to play
18 words are hiding in that grid. Go and get them.
Drag from the first letter to the last, then let go. Across, down and diagonally, never backwards.
Out of ideas? Hint blinks the first letter of a word you missed. You get three of them, so spend them like an adult.
The list keeps score for you. Every word you land fills in with its own colour and crosses itself out.
A new theme lands every night at midnight UTC and it is the same grid for the whole planet. Your time and your streak live in this browser, so there is nothing to sign and nobody to tell.
How to play no rules to learn
18 words are buried in the grid. Drag from the first letter to the last and let go. Get it right and the word lights up in its own colour, on the grid and in the list beside it. Words run across, down and diagonally, always forwards, so nothing is hiding backwards to waste your afternoon. Find all of them and the clock stops.
The fastest way to clear a grid
Most people read the grid like a book, line by line, and it is the slowest thing you can do. Look at the word list first and pick the rarest letter in it. Z, Q, X, J. There are maybe three of them on the whole board. Find the letter, look at its eight neighbours, and you have either found the word or eliminated it in two seconds.
Long words are the easy ones
It feels backwards, but a nine letter word has nowhere to hide. It needs almost the full width of the grid, so there are only a handful of places it can physically sit. Start with the longest word on the list, not the shortest. By the time the big ones are gone the short ones are sitting in plain sight.
And when a word will not come, stop scanning and start scanning differently. Turn your head, run a finger down the diagonals, or read the columns instead of the rows. The word has been on screen the entire time. Your eyes were just travelling in the wrong direction.
One grid, everyone, every day
Everybody playing on Friday, September 4, 2026 gets dog breeds and the same arrangement of letters. A new theme lands at midnight UTC. Your time and your streak live in this browser, with no account, no email and nothing to sign.
