You start with one word already on the board and can only change it by adding a letter, dropping one, or rearranging the letters you have — no typing a fresh word from scratch. That constraint is what separates this from a typical word-search or swipe game: you're threading a chain of valid words rather than just spotting ones that are already there. It rewards knowing a lot of short words more than knowing a few long ones.
