Unlike the stacked mahjong solitaire games, Mahjong Connect works on a flat board where you pair tiles that can be joined by a path with no more than two turns. The Halloween version just reskins that connect format with pumpkins, bats and other seasonal art - it doesn't change how it plays, though the distinct designs make the board a little easier to read at a glance. It's a fine pick if you want something Halloween-flavored that isn't actually spooky to play.
